An Anniversary Symposium to Reflect on the Past & Transform the Future of School of Resources and Environment
Welcome
This year is the 70th Anniversary of the Jilin Agricultural University (JAU) and 60th Anniversary of the School of Resources and Environment. We invite all graduates and friends of the college (the old Department of Soil Science and Agri-chemistry) to return home to celebrate the past achievements, the growth and the future of the college as it takes on new challenges in a changing world. The Symposium will be held on September 5-9, 2018 at the Jilin Agricultural University Conference Center and will consist of academic lectures, oral & poster presentations, and social events for professional networking opportunities. Keynote Speakers
Dr. Ping He, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science, Beijing, China (Nutrient use efficiency)
Dr. He is a professor at the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning, CAAS. Dr. he’s research is targeting on high-efficient use of nutrient resources, with three research focuses including plant nutrient biology, nutrient cycling and nutrient management in various cropping systems. As the Director of International Plant Nutrition Institute, China Program, Dr. He is looking after the Nutrient Management and Optimized Fertilization for Northeast region (Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning), and Northcentral region (Hebei, Henan, Shandong, and Shanxi, plus Beijing and Tianjin). Dr. Shiwei Guo, Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing, China (Plant Nutrition)
Dr. Guo is a professor and doctoral tutor. He is a committee member of Chinese Plant Nutrition Society Youth Working; Chinese Plant Nutrition Society rhizosphere nutrition working committee member; Chinese plant nutrition society chemical fertilizer working committee member. Jiangsu Province, "Green Engineering" outstanding young backbone teachers; 2007 "Ministry of Education of the new century talent support program" winner; Ministry of Agriculture soil testing and fertilizer technology experts. Registration for the Symposium includes access to all scheduled academic sessions (speakers, poster sessions, and tours), food and beverage (breakfast, coffee breaks, and lunch), and to the Welcome Reception on Wednesday night, September 5 at the Conference Center of the University. Student Symposium registration is free including access to all scheduled academic sessions (speakers, poster sessions, and tours) and beverage (coffee breaks), but does not include food and admission to the Welcome Reception. Students can purchase tickets for food and to the Welcome Reception for an additional fee. Both Regular Registration fees and Student Registration fees will increase after Monday, May 15th, 2018.

Cancellation Policy
The Symposium refund policy allows for a refund. To have a refund processed without penalty, it is required that a written request be submitted prior to August 31st, 2018. Detailed information for refund will be available on March 1st, 2018 when the registration opens.
